There may be several reasons for problems with the gaskets by the glass, such as common wear and tear, lack of re-tightening of the glass fittings or use of cleaning products. Cleaning products contain considerable amounts of alcohol and chemicals, which can damage the glue on the gaskets. This can reduce the service life of the gaskets. Therefore, we recommend that the glass on the stove is cleaned with our Aduro Easy Clean pads. In addition, it is important to re-tighten the glass fittings shortly after the stove is put into use, since the gaskets may otherwise come loose.

Over time, the gaskets become hard, worn and loose, which may cause them to fall off. Therefore, you should regularly check them and replace them if they are leaky. This is part of the common maintenance of the stove. It is important that the gaskets are close to the surface of the stove. If this is not the case, excess air can get into the combustion chamber and decrease the energy efficiency of the stove. The gasket sets can be purchased from our dealers or through our webshop.

Please remember to clean the glass and door from dirt and soot before mounting the new gaskets. If the gaskets often come loose, you can glue them with ceramic glue

NOTE: All cleaning and maintenance should be conducted on a cold stove.

If the gaskets come loose but are otherwise looking fine, we recommend that you loosen the fitting, push the gaskets into place and tighten the fitting again. You can use rust dissolving oil if the fittings are difficult to loosen. If the gaskets often come loose, you can glue them with ceramic glue.
