All cleaning must be carried out while the stove is turned off and cold!

The frequency for cleaning strongly depends on the quality of pellets and the combustion.

1. Recommended daily cleaning

Watch this for guidance: from 02:21

Depending on the usage, we recommend cleaning the brazier (1) and the ash tray (2) on a daily basis. Lift the brazier and remove it in order to be able to clean it sufficiently. Remove ashes and unburnt pellets from the chamber below the brazier (3) and the guide tube for the igniter (4). The ash tray can be pulled out and emptied. Furthermore, you should remove ashes around the door gasket and inside the combustion chamber using an ash cleaner.

Upon every ignition, the brazier should be checked for ashes and unburnt pellets. The holes in the bottom must be free in order to ensure sufficient combustion air.

2. Recommended weekly cleaning (or when appropriate)

The back plate (5) and the steel baffle plate (6) are removable. Take out both plates in order to reach the covered air channels behind. Use an ash cleaner and, if necessary, a soft brush to clean behind the back plate.

First, you need to remove the baffle plate by lifting it off the hooks (7) in the front. Further lift the front until the baffle plate is in an upright position. It can now be removed. At the same time, make sure to hold the back plate in position as it is held in place by the steel baffle plate. Second, remove the back plate by tipping it towards yourself (8). Lift it slightly to take it off.

3. Recommended monthly cleaning (or when appropriate)

The box underneath the combustion chamber (9) needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent ashes from soiling the exhaust fan.
Take off the cover plate by unscrewing the four screws (10). Use your fingers both to loosen and to tighten the screws again.

Remove the baffle plate (11) by lifting it off the hooks (12). Use an ash cleaner to remove the ashes.

All the above cleaning steps should be part of the annual maintenance.
