Fuel type, firing method, chimney conditions and length, and weather conditions are all important factors, when neighbours are complaining about the chimney smoke. You can do a lot to reduce these discomforts.
We recommend that you fire with wood with a moisture content of max. 18%. It is prohibited to burn lacquered wood, impregnated wood, chipboard, paper and other waste.
The smoke can be trapped by wind turbines on the roof surface and pulled down into the neighbour's garden if the chimney does not cross the highest point on the roof, if there is a large tree close to the chimney, or if the neighbouring house is close and higher. If this is the case, you should increase the draft in your chimney.
