All Aduro stoves come with a detachable ashtray for easier cleaning. It is important to remove and clean the ashtray from time to time between the usage of the stove:

• If ashes accumulate in the ashtray they can obstruct the air intake of the stove and decrease it’s efficiency and performance.
• Make sure that no ashes settle on the side of the ashtray as they could accumulate and obstruct the air intake or block the damper of stove.

Always leave a layer of ash on the bottom of the stove, as this insulates the combustion chamber and makes lighting a fire easier. 

WARNING: all cleaning and maintenance should be done with a cold stove.
