To check if Aduro-tronic is functioning correctly, please do the following:

  • Open the primary air supply by pulling out the primary air damper as far as it will go.

  • Wait for 10-20 minutes and then check if the damper is closed. The cartridge presses the damper max. 1 cm (white cartridge) or 3 cm (black cartridge).

  • You can check if the primary damper is in the closed position by removing the ash drawer and checking if the square hole underneath is completely closed. If the square hole is not fully closed, the Aduro-tronic is not functioning correctly (this does not apply to stoves with external air supply).

  • If the Aduro-tronic still does not close correctly, please control the function of the damper by pulling out the damper and then pushing it back in. After the closing time, pull out the damper again. Now there should be a resistance. If there is no resistance, there is a risk that the cartridge has “locked” itself, which can happen after a period with no use. In order to loosen the cartridge, the Allen screw has to be turned in the one direction and afterwards in the other, and finally be set back in the original position. If this does not help, the cartridge is defect and needs to be replaced.

  • The damper has to run very easily back and forth. If this is not the case, please see The primary damper is moving too stiffly – how do I adjust it?

NB: If you have a stove from the Aduro 22 series, please see The primary damper is moving too stiffly - how do I adjust it? (Aduro 22 series).

NB: If you have a stove from the Aduro 17 series, please see The primary damper is moving too stiffly - how do I adjust it? (Aduro 17 series).

Please be aware of special conditions for stoves with external air supply.

PLEASE NOTICE: All changes/adjustments/tests must be conducted, when the stove is cold.
